First of all, we must understand that the compressed air produced by the screw air compressor is actually not pure enough. Because the screw air compressor itself contains lubricating oil, part of the lubricating oil will be mixed into the compressed air when working with compressed air. In addition, the natural air itself contains some solid particles and moisture. When these substances are in the pneumatic circuit of the air compressor, the solid particles and some moisture of the compressed air will be mixed with the lubricating oil, so that the compressed gas is not pure. , It fails to meet the clean requirements of the production equipment for compressed air. Moreover, if this unpurified gas is used directly, it will cause some failures in the pneumatic circuit, damage the pneumatic components, reduce the service life of the components, decrease production efficiency, and even cause accidents.
 
Therefore, the use of post-processing equipment to purify these compressed gases to obtain pure compressed gases is an essential and important link in the pneumatic system.
 
The compressed air drain in the screw air compressor can cause condensation to occur when the air in the pipeline cools down, and liquid water flows along the pipeline. Once it flows into the air drying filter/filter, a series of phenomena will occur.

First of all, the condensation effect, the condenser or the first-stage filter element (stainless steel mesh) causes the water and air to change direction. This change makes the individual water droplets combine with each other and then gather in the agglomerator. The water droplets gradually become larger, and combine with other larger dirt to flow into the reservoir-the central area under the action of gravity. The water containing dirt flows along the bottom and is drained through the automatic drain valve in the drainage basin; a large amount of water (estimated 95% of the water) is discharged through this process.

The second filtration process passes through the second filter element cotton fiber web. Change the direction of the airflow in or near the cotton fiber rope and rotate the airflow. This cotton fiber rope is supported by a stainless steel mesh and forms a vortex. At this time, the air is accelerated dozens of times, and the center of the vortex becomes a vacuum state just like a tornado. .

Therefore, the water droplets that have not been removed by the air dryer filter in the first filter are vaporized into gas that has no adverse effect on the machine, and the tiny impurity oil droplets are also removed here. The above is the purpose of the drain in the screw air compressor. The drain is a very important part of the air compressor. Frequent maintenance should be carried out to avoid clogging, which will damage the pneumatic components of the air compressor, reduce the service life of the components, and even cause an accident.
